  might be back, might not.

  i really appreciate the historical information on the jw's this board allowed me to find out about.

  it really put things into perspective.

  Cage's post does not invalidate your feelings, or what you are going through.

  I'm not going through fading. I'm OUT OUT OUT. But when I see those same shunning attitudes pop up here, it really gets under my skin. Not because they are having those feelings themselves. But because they are making other people feel like crap while they are going through their own personal hell. I could not care less that Cage (who I've also liked on this site), does not want to be around anyone that is fading. But the effect it has on others that are fading and having a tough time with it, that's when I get upset. I've seen similar statements made against New Chapter, Cedars, Elder Elite, Yknot, and others that did not leave the organization on the timetable that others thought that they should.

  I think all the gods I've ever heard of almost certainly do not exist.

  I have a new phrase for myself after hearing some of the ideas of God on this site.

  "I don't believe in the God you don't believe in either!!!"

  I have to go off for a second. And just so you don't think that I am defending my own position, I'm not. I'm OUT, and I'm not a fader.

  Some of this stuff makes me absolutely SICK! When people get on their high horse and judge another person because of their choice to fade, I get extremely angry. You have NO idea what some of those people are going through. You have NO idea the hoops that they are jumping through so they can save their family relationships. You have NO idea of the hell that they are going through in having to continue to be around believing JWs that view them as spritually weak and sick or mentally diseased. Some of these faders are going through ABSOULTE HELL in order to keep their family ties. Some of us that outright left do not know what it must be like to be in the organization in title but believe NONE OF IT! To be unofficially shunned by those in the congregation as if we were the scum of the earth. To be fighting for our family to see the truth about the truth, and to be rejected by them. To hear our mothers cry because they believe Jehovah will destroy us. To get the angry letters and email from family about our "doubts".

  I've seen posters HERE ridicule faders. How great is that? We are rejected by our friends, "brothers", and family and we come here for some support and get messages from others that have left about how they have no interest in keeping company with such ones. How sick is that!!!

  Just because I don’t know doesn’t mean I can’t decide whether or not I believe in a higher power… and the fact is, I don’t.

  Yeah, I guess most agnostics say that you "can't" know, but there "may" be something out there. I guess agnostic atheist is a more appropriate term for you. You DON'T believe, but there may not be a reason TO believe. Is that close enough?

  I suppose this is the reason for so many terms. There are so many varieties of people that relate to one term or another that matches their belief or lack of belief.

  Who (not what) is your guilty pleasure? (Controversial favorites)

  we all have somebody we are crazy about that almost everybody can't stand.. if you mention their name your companions give you that "look" (ya know the one, like you just got caught picking your nose!).

  i was thinking about this the other day.

  i was truly curious if i'm mental or if everybody has a guilty pleasure list like i do.. i'm just going to assume we all do until you set me straight.. if you attach a photo and short explanation about why you like these pariahs it will be more meaningful.. .

  I've heard the rumors floating around that he may be losing his faith in scientology. Of course I heard other rumors that he just attended a scientology convention. But maybe he's starting to come around slowly like all of us did.

  Here are some quotes from "Star" (yes not the most reputable of sources).

  "Tom hasn't admitted that he's definitely leaving Scientology for good," an insider told the magazine. "But he's distanced himself from those in the church and has been hanging out with good friends who aren't part of the religion."

  Further, many agnostics see themselves as sitting on a fence, having not made a decision.

  I think this is part of the very definition of agnostic. The "I'm not sure" answer is valid and I think that would be answering that you are"agnostic". Of course I know it means that they have not made a decision yet. But the meaning of the word "agnostic" being as it is "without knowledge" seems to apply.
